Department at a Glance

Department of Chemistry offers B.Sc. program with different combinations, viz. Physics, Maths, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Statistics and M.Sc. Chemistry program (2 Year & 1 Year) with choice of elective papers in each semester for students. The department will run Ph.D. program in upcoming years. The chemistry department has excellent team of diligent and committed teachers. There are six assistant professors and two supporting staff in the department. For effective teaching, ICT tools are used to make the subject more interesting. In order to update knowledge, teachers participate in refresher courses, orientation programs, faculty development programs, short term courses for better classroom teaching. Under the banner of college activities like seminars, invited lectures by experts, alumni lectures, research laboratory visits, power point presentations etc. are conducted to enrich and encourage the academic and creative potential of the students. PG students are motivated by the teachers to participate in various competitive exams (NET, GATE etc,) and for higher studies.
